Done properly, the kitchen is the engine of the house.
A bad kitchen renovation is one where the units are good but the wiring's a mess and the tiles are crooked. A great one is the opposite: every surface in the room is a bit better than you expected, every appliance lives in the right place, every electrical socket is where you reach for it.
That's only possible if one team owns the whole job — design, rip-out, plastering, plumbing, electrics, tiling, flooring, decorating. Hand it to four different sub-contractors with no overall foreman and you get the bad version.
What's included as standard
- Free design consultation (we use Howdens, Magnet or Wren design teams, or work with your existing plans)
- Full strip-out and removal of old units, appliances, tiling, flooring
- Re-plumbing where the layout changes (sink, dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob)
- Re-wiring to current Part P standards — sockets where you actually use them

Trade suppliers
Howdens — our most-used trade supplier. Fast lead times, strong cabinet quality, decent worktop range. Best for mid-market budgets and like-for-like rebuilds.
Magnet — broader colour and finish range than Howdens, slightly higher spec, supplier showrooms in Bath and Swindon.
Wren — good for larger budgets, in-frame and shaker styles, in-house design appointments. Long lead times.
DIY Kitchens — value-led, painted-to-order, surprisingly strong cabinet build. Self-supplied — works well when you want a specific style at a tight budget.
Bespoke / cabinet makers
For top-end work we partner with two local Wiltshire cabinet makers. Solid-wood frames, hand-painted finish, true bespoke sizing. Lead times of 8–14 weeks.
Self-supplied
Sourcing your own units is fine — we'll fit anything provided it's complete, correct and arrives undamaged. We give you a fitting-only quote with a clear scope of what we cover.
Realistic timeline.
- Pre-start (4–8 weeks): Design, sign-off, units ordered (lead time varies wildly — Howdens 2 weeks, bespoke 12 weeks).
- Week 1: Rip-out, first-fix plumbing & electrics, plastering.
- Week 2: Cabinet install. Worktop template (stone worktops typically 5–7 day lead from template).
- Week 3: Worktop fit. Tiling. Appliance install. Flooring (often last to keep it clean).
- Week 4: Decorating, snag walk, handover. (Bigger jobs run to weeks 5–6.)

Can I keep the existing layout or do I need to start from scratch? +
Either works. A like-for-like replacement is the cheapest and quickest — typically 2–3 weeks. A full rip-out and reconfiguration takes 4–6 weeks but transforms how the room works.
Which kitchen suppliers do you work with? +
Howdens, Magnet, Wren and DIY Kitchens at the trade-supplier end; bespoke local cabinet makers at the higher end. We can also fit kitchens you've sourced yourself, with a clear scope of supply.
Can I live in the house during a kitchen renovation? +
Yes. We set up a temporary kitchen using plug-in appliances (kettle, microwave, fridge), usually in a utility or dining area. Most clients eat takeaways for the first week and fend for themselves from there.
How much does it cost? +
Mid-market kitchens (Howdens, Magnet, Wren) with quartz or solid-wood worktops, integrated appliances and proper electrics/plumbing typically come out at £14,000–£28,000 fitted. Higher-end bespoke £30,000–£70,000+.
Will I need building regs or planning? +
Like-for-like — no. Moving a gas hob, removing a load-bearing wall, or significant electrical work triggers building-regs items we handle. Planning is only needed if extending out to make the kitchen bigger.
